Worden Park was originally part of the estate of the Farington family, and is over 150 acres in size. It includes the formal gardens, believed to have been designed by the notable landscape architect William Andrews Nesfield, who also designed the gardens at Alton Towers and Kew. Overlooking the formal garden is a magnificent conservatory originally built in 1892, and alongside is the famous maze or puzzle garden. Other features of the park include a folly, built as a romantic ruin with a water cascade, and the 18th Century domed icehouse. This beautiful park has a huge playpark, sandpit, duckpond, woodlands, duck ponds, formal gardens, crazy golf, mininiture railway, maze, wildlife, lots of fields for picnics & football, cafe kiosk and an Arts & Craft Centre.
