Description

Leyland’s wonderfully quirky old grammar school spans six centuries of history - with unique collections of local history that stretch even further back in time.  

 

The timber-framed Tudor school house shows the history of the region, displaying collections that reflect 20th century industry, architecture and landscapes, as well as civic and social history, featuring some well known figures from the area such as the Farington family of Worden. 

Road Directions

From M6 jct 28, turn towards Leyland. Turn left at the first roundabout, right at the 2nd roundabout. The museum is 800yds on the left.

Public Transport Directions

Bus and train to Leyland town centre. Left from the station, down Chapel Brow, along Hough Lane to Leyland Cross. Turn left into Church Road. The museum is 100yds on the right.
