Description

I sell fruit pies, sponge cakes, biscuits, custard tarts, Lemon Meringues and Manchester tarts, without hydrogenated fats. All our produce is made locally.

About the business:
I have had a stall on Leyland Market for 9 years.
All our products are handcrafted and not factory produced. None of our cakes and biscuits contain hydrogenated fat. We also sell oat biscuits and ginger biscuits which are low in sugar.

Most proud of:
Everything we sell the stall, especially the freshly made fruit tarts, custards and lemon meringues which sell quickly. Our oat biscuits are extremely popular and all our produce is value for money.
Only one man, with a couple of assistants, does all the baking for the stall and everything is handcrafted.

Interesting:
People come and buy our oat biscuits as they are healthy, good for lowering cholesterol, they also come from different parts of the country to purchase them, we’ve even had visitors from Spain!

Favourite place:
My favourite shop has to be Thorntons.

One wish:
If there was one wish it would be just to stay in business, as I like what I do, as well as staying happy and healthy.
